Q: What is the average climate in St. Kitts?
What is the average water temperature?
A. St. Kitts averages about 79ºF and is tempered by trade winds. Dry,
mild weather is usually experienced from November to April; May to October it's
hotter and wetter. The average water temperature is 80º F.

A. Atlantic Standard: One hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

Q: Do you accept US currency in the retail
shops?
A. We accept both US and Eastern Caribbean currency.

Q: What is the currency exchange?
A. Official currency is the EC dollar, which is valued at a fixed rate of EC
$2.70 = $1.00 US.

Q: What credit cards do you accept in the
retail shops?
A. Red Sail Sports honors MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Q: What are the hours of operation for each
retail store?
A. Our retail stores are open from 9:00am - 6:00pm Monday through Saturday;
with extended hours to accommodate cruise ship visitors.

Q: Are the retail stores cruise ship
recommended?
A. Yes, we have been shopped and tested for proper representation of
merchandise, and will take care of any problems that you may have, even after
you return home.

Q: Are towels provided on the snorkeling sail?
A. No, guests are responsible for their own towels. In case you forget, you
may always purchase a towel from either of our retail stores.

Q: Are life jackets available on the vessel?
A. Yes, our vessel is equipped with life vests for all passengers onboard.

Q: Is there a bathroom on board?
A. There are 2 brand new “heads” on board the Balia.

Q: Is there shade available?
A. There is plenty of shade available for those that like to stay undercover.

Q: Can I purchase an underwater camera on board
the catamaran?
A. No, however all sorts of sundries, including underwater cameras
are available for purchase in our retail shop.

Q: What should I bring aboard the snorkel sail?
A. We suggest that you wear your bathing suit and bring plenty of sunscreen, a
towel, hat or cap, and an underwater camera. All of which are available for
purchase at the Red Sail Sports retail shops if you don’t have your own.

Q: What types of fish are we likely to see when
we are snorkeling?
A. Sea life sights our guests are likely to see include: Hawksbill and
Greenback Turtles, Southern Stingrays, Porcupine Fish, Coral, Sea Fans and the
variety of other fish life that comes with a healthy reef.

Q: I'm new to snorkeling. Is snorkeling
instruction provided?
A. Yes, we have a fully-trained professional crew that will be happy
to assist and guide.

Q: Is equipment included?
A. Yes, mask, fins, and snorkel are included in the per person cost.

Q: May we bring our own alcohol aboard the sails?
A. Sorry, but no. We do have a complimentary open bar available on
board once the snorkeling portion of the trip is complete. Until the snorkeling
is complete, sodas and water are available.

Where do we check in for our sails?
A. The check-in for all sails is located at the Red Sail Sports shop in Port
Zante.

 Q:
I'll be taking a cruise which docks for only a day. Will I have enough time to
sail with Red Sail Sports? Also, do you provide transportation to and from the
port?
A. Transportation is not required as we are located at the port
itself. All of our trips have been scheduled to easily accommodate those guests
arriving via a cruise ship.

Should I make reservations in advance? If so, how far in advance?
A. There is no set time limit to book. The earlier you book, the better your
chances are of availability.

Q: I've dove with Red Sail Sports before. Will
you be offering diving services in St. Kitts as well?
A. At this time we are not offering diving. However, it is our pleasure to
recommend a reputable local company with whom you may dive.
